So, After 3 weeks of competition things are looking well for us!! 8-0 as a dual team and some successful tournament finishes. 3rd at the Eagle and top 10 at Orange Jim King. Now its time to start our conference competition. All the boys are working hard in the practice room and we have several wrestlers that are cleared from injury and ready to jump in the mix. Lets keep our focus on working hard in practice, drilling and keeping ourselves in condition. Our 1st conference match is this Wednesday.  Many of our non starter wrestlers are still working hard to have that 1st match. Keep your heads up and your nose to the grind, your time will come so make sure your ready. After week one of practice! What a great jump start to what appears to be an exciting up coming year for the pirates.  We have many new faces and a group of seniors who have taken the leadership role.  The guys have been working extremely hard in our practice room.  Report cards have proved wrestling is not for dummies.  Congratulations to those of you who are excelling in the class room while also maintaining a strict training regiment.  Special recognition to Cam Smith for his outstanding work in the class room and on the wrestling mat.  Let keep up the hard work and get ready for our 1st contest come November 19th.

Hello All!! What an exciting time it is here at CHHS. The wrestling season is about to be underway and the excitement is in the air.  This is coach Stewart, I will be posting here on the blog on a weekly basis throughout the season.  For parents, Wrestlers, coaches and fans, you will have the opportunity to up lift our team, school, community and wrestlers.  Feel free to post here if you have something positive to say.  Remember the golden rule while posting. “Instruction does much, but encouragement everything."  Lets encourage all of our wrestlers weather win, loose, or no contest. CHHS Wrestling holds true to the philosophy that if we treat our athletes like champions then they are very likely to be one. “Treat a man as he is and he will remain as he is. Treat a man as he can and should be and he will become as he can and should be.”  I look forward to our 1st week of practice. TTYS COACH KS
